Alyssa was named the KixBrooks Radio Hero of the Week. KixBrooks is a country music radio program aired on stations throughout the country. They shared her story on air and on their website. Unbeknownst to the station, they aired her story the week of her passing. She would have been proud!

MD Anderson CancerWise, a printed and online newsletter published by MD Anderson, featured Alyssa and her positive life outlook in it’s recent addition.

MD Anderson Children’s Cancer Hospital recently hosted a prom for teenager cancer patients. Alyssa serves on the the Teen Impact Council of the hospital and served on the committee who helped plan the prom. She also had the joy of attending.

Family friend Troy Clifton ran the Ironman Texas in honor of Alyssa. Alyssa and her family were blessed to attend the race to cheer him on as he has so often has cheered her on in her cancer race.
